That September Reset Feeling

Hands up if you chase that fresh start, September back to school feeling every fall!!

September is the real new year, and the back to school high comes from the feeling that anything is possible and you can start with a clean slate now.

Here are two non-negotiables and one thing to avoid if you want to experience the high.

Do This:

1. Introduce NEW things into your life that challenge you because you don’t have them all figured out.
2. Commit to an outcome you want to create, and imagine yourself as that person.

If the two things above don’t result in crossing paths and engaging with new people and some inconvenience you aren’t taking it far enough. If it feels comfy you’re doing it wrong.

Avoid the Perfectionist Fantasy:

Don’t expect to become a robot with endless motivation and flawless self-discipline. because this all-or-nothing approach just leads to a crash and burn.

Want to commit to something that guarantees the shiny new year feeling?

The Kickstartology Alignment Coaching program is starting with a new cohort of women. Six months of accountability, and support as you reconnect to your gut instinct, figure out what you really want, and get out of your own way. Book a call to find out everything you need to know about it to figure out if it’s the perfect thing to get that back-to-school shiny and new feeling.

Thought Starter Ideas

Here are some ideas to get you thinking about what could inspire you into action, they are pretty generic, but ask yourself what your version of each of these would be:

  • Take a course on something that you’ve always been curious about for example hip-hop dancing, standup comedy, pickleball, or ironwork.
  • Morning routine makeover to start the day on your terms.
  • Set a work goal that excites you like getting a new job or a promotion by a certain date.
  • Start a podcast.
  • Jump out of a plane.
  • Declutter your home.
  • Organize a fundraiser.
  • Set a goal to make $100 from a completely new source by a certain date.
  • Build a meditation habit and do it for 100 days in a row.
  • Learn to cook one new thing a week.
  • Update your look (wardrobe? hair?) to make sure it aligns with who you are now.
  • Set a fitness goal, for example running 5K in 40 minutes, doing 20 pushups in a row, or achieving a yoga pose.
  • Launch a new business.
  • Write a book.
  • Join a coaching program for inspiration, accountability, growth, and to figure out how to get out of your own way faster…#thisshitworks

Remember this isn’t about being “good” it’s about feeling alive.
