You Know When You’re Phoning It In

You know you’re capable of more, but since no one is calling you out you’re not motivated to do anything about it. You can justify to yourself that you deserve it.

It feels good to strive and prove what you can pull off, but the idea of striving right now is much more tiring than it is inspiring.

You’re hoping for motivation to resurface before your lack of giving a shit becomes obvious to everyone around you.

Why It Matters

Here’s the bigger problem: You’re smart enough and you’ve had enough experience to know when you have to fake it and take it up a notch, which means that you could keep coasting along like this forever. And if you’re stagnating for long enough in your job it’s going to impact the rest of your life.

You’re going to have less energy, feel less like yourself, and it’s going to get harder to summon the desire to break out of the rut. Boredom is going to become the new normal.

The Alternative

You don’t have to choose between phoning it in and trying to force yourself to bring your best. You’re allowed to decide that you won’t settle for spending days of your life caught up in stuff you don’t care about. It might feel unrealistic or scary, but those feelings are just a part of breaking out of a rut.

You will need to start to create new patterns, including thinking more about what you want, instead of what you want to escape, and start making decisions that align and following through for yourself.

How Do You Get There?

It’s simple, and we have designed the Align to Thrive program to help you get out of your own way faster.

  1. Reconnect to your gut instinct and start figuring out what you want
  2. Question your assumptions and stop judging yourself
  3. Commit to yourself and take consistent action
  4. Catch yourself when you slip into old patterns and redirect

The details look different for everyone because you have to start where you are, but it never needs to be complicated or overwhelming. You can start as small as you need or jump into the deep end.

How it Feels

As you start living in alignment you’re going to feel more clarity and more in control. It will be easier to handle the uncertainty and the ups and downs that are a part of life. You will be engaged in all of the parts of your life. You will feel more energized and you’re going to love the things that are already good in your life even more.

And you’re going to find out what you’re actually capable of.
